Ingredients

Scale

4 cups fresh broccoli florets (cut into medium-sized pieces)
1 ½ tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Grated Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Broccoli
Wash and dry the broccoli thoroughly. Moisture prevents crisping, so pat dry with a clean towel.
Cut into evenly sized florets for consistent cooking.

Step 2: Season the Florets
In a bowl, toss broccoli with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.

Step 3: Air Fry the Broccoli
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Add broccoli to the basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until edges are crisp and browned.

Step 4: Finish & Serve
Remove and immediately squeeze lemon juice over the top.
Sprinkle with Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or extra salt if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Dry the Broccoli Well – Moisture causes steaming, not crisping
Don’t Overcrowd – Space the florets for even air circulation
Shake the Basket – This helps all sides get crispy
Watch the Time – Smaller pieces cook faster and can burn
Add Cheese After Cooking – Prevents it from burning in the fryer
