Ingredients
-
4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seeds removed
-
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5–6 lemons)
-
½ cup cold water (more to adjust consistency)
-
¼ cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
-
Ice cubes, for serving
-
Lemon slices and mint leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Fruit
Cut your seedless watermelon into cubes and remove any visible black seeds.
Juice the lemons using a citrus juicer. Strain if needed to remove pulp and seeds.
Step 2: Blend Watermelon
Place watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher to remove pulp (optional for smoother texture).
Step 3: Combine Ingredients
To the watermelon juice, add fresh lemon juice, cold water, and honey or sugar.
Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
Step 4: Chill and Serve
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve over ice in tall glasses and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint.
Step 5: Make It Fancy (Optional)
For a sparkling version, top with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
For a slushy version, blend the mixture with ice until thick and icy.
