  • ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks / 170 g) unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter for nougat layer
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar for nougat layer
  • ¼ cup (59.5 g) heavy whipping cream for nougat layer
  • ¼ cup (64.5 g) creamy peanut butter for nougat layer
  • 1 jar (7 ounces) marshmallow fluff for nougat layer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for nougat layer
  • 2 cups (292 g) salted peanuts for nougat layer
  • 1 bag (11 ounces) caramel bits for caramel layer
  • ¼ cup (59.5 g) heavy whipping cream for caramel layer
  • 2 cups (364 g) milk chocolate chips for chocolate topping
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil for chocolate topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the brownie base, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy; mix in butter and vanilla. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  3. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool.
  4. For the nougat layer, melt butter and sugar in a saucepan; stir in cream, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, peanuts, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
  5. Melt caramel bits with cream over low heat until smooth; pour over nougat layer.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil in the microwave; pour over caramel layer and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least an hour before cutting into squares.
