  • 2 pounds of 85% lean ground beef
  • 6 tablespoons of A.1. sauce
  • 2 sweet Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Mix ground beef with A.1. sauce until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 6 to 8 patties and set aside.
  5. Lightly coat patties in the flour mixture.
  6. Brown the patties and onions in the skillet for about 3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the patties and sprinkle remaining flour over the onions and drippings; cook for another 3 minutes.
  8. Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil.
  9. Return patties to the skillet, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
