  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté seasoned shrimp until pink (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Whisk in flour for about a minute.
  4. Gradually stir in chicken broth until smooth; then add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Gradually mix in parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  6. Return shrimp and sun-dried tomatoes to the skillet, tossing gently with reserved pasta water as needed.
  7. Finish by stirring in basil and paprika. Adjust seasoning if desired.
