Ingredients

Scale

For the Dip:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

  • ⅓ cup sour cream

  • ¼ cup Key lime juice (fresh or bottled)

  • 1 tbsp lime zest (about 1 large lime)

  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Extra lime zest

  • Crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs

  • Whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

For Serving:

  • Graham crackers

  • Vanilla wafers

  • Shortbread cookies

  • Fresh strawberries or pineapple chunks

  • Pretzels for a sweet-salty combo

Instructions

Step 1: Beat the Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy, about 1–2 minutes.
Make sure there are no lumps—it should be light and creamy.

Step 2: Add the Sweeteners and Flavor
Add in the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, powdered sugar, lime juice, lime zest, and vanilla extract.
Beat until fully combined and silky smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness or lime juice if needed.

Step 3: Chill (Optional but Recommended)
For best results, cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour to let the flavors meld and the dip firm up slightly.
This step isn’t required, but it enhances the texture and taste.

Step 4: Garnish & Serve
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
Top with extra lime zest, crushed graham crackers, or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Notes

Use Full-Fat Ingredients – For the creamiest, richest dip, avoid light or low-fat options.
Fresh Lime Juice – If you can find real Key limes, even better. Otherwise, bottled Key lime juice is a great option.
Room Temp Cream Cheese – Always soften the cream cheese first to avoid lumps.
Chill for Better Flavor – The longer it chills, the more vibrant and creamy it becomes.
Make Ahead – This dip can be made a day in advance and stored until ready to serve.
