- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup buttermilk (or whole milk + 1 teaspoon vinegar)
- ½ cup hot fudge sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- ½ cup chocolate chips
For Serving:
- Extra hot fudge sauce
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare the Pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Stir in buttermilk, followed by hot fudge sauce.
Step 4: Combine & Add Chocolate Chips
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
Step 5: Bake the Brownie Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Step 6: Drizzle with Hot Fudge & Serve
- Let the bread cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with extra hot fudge sauce.
- Slice and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
