  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup well chopped raw walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix applesauce, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and honey until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until just mixed; the dough will be sticky.
  5. Fold in dark chocolate chips, raisins, and walnuts.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes until golden around the edges.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
