  • 1 3/4 cups cake flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup cultured buttermilk
  • 2 cups diced peaches

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with butter and parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream together dark brown sugar and unsalted butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture alternately with cultured buttermilk.
  5. Gently fold in diced peaches before pouring the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Sprinkle the top with coarse sparkling sugar and bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
