  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 large cloves garlic (minced)
  • 24-ounce jar marinara sauce
  • 22-ounce package frozen cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Dried herbs (basil, parsley, oregano, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 3-quart baking dish.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with minced garlic until the meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season the beef with garlic powder, basil, parsley, oregano, thyme, crushed red pepper flakes (optional), salt, and black pepper.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and add slightly thawed tortellini to the pot; mix until well combined.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in half of the grated mozzarella until melted.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
