  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 oz onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 20 crushed crackers (like Ritz)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 21 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup (2 x 10.5 oz cans)
  • 0.87 oz brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, onion soup mix, and milk.
  2. Crush crackers in a Ziploc bag and add the crumbs to the mixture. Combine well using your hands.
  3. Form mixture into four patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat and brown both sides of the patties.
  5. Spray the crock pot with cooking spray and layer diced onions at the bottom.
  6. Place browned patties on top of onions.
  7. In another bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, brown gravy mix, and beef broth; pour over patties.
  8. Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours.
  9. To thicken sauce, combine water and corn starch in a small bowl before whisking into the crock pot; let cook for an additional 10 minutes.
