Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 green onion (chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and mozzarella until smooth. Stir in green onions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, granulated sugar, and shredded chicken until well combined.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread generously.
  4. Place one slice in the skillet, butter-side down. Spread about ¼ cup of the cheese mixture on top and cover with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip carefully and cook another 3-4 minutes until both sides are toasted and crispy.
  6. Repeat for remaining sandwiches and serve hot alongside sweet chili sauce or garlic chili oil.
