Ingredients
- 2 slices of turkey turkey bacon, chopped
- 3 shallots, finely diced
- 1 carrot, finely diced
- 2 small stalks of celery, finely diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 400g (14oz) lean ground beef
- 400g (14oz) canned chopped tomatoes
- 240ml (1 cup) chicken stock
- 500g (17.5oz) gnocchi
- 120g (4.2oz) grated mature cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a frying pan over medium-high heat, spray with olive oil and cook the chopped turkey turkey bacon until golden. Set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté shallots, carrot, and celery until softened.
- Add crushed garlic and ground beef; cook until browned.
- Stir in cooked turkey turkey bacon along with mixed herbs, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and stock; bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Mix in gnocchi; cover and simmer for an additional 5-8 minutes until cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with cheddar cheese, and broil for about 4 minutes until melted.
