  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp (raw, deveined, tail removed)
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 small yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Blackened seasoning
  • Kosher salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss the shrimp with blackened seasoning until coated.
  3. Sear the shrimp in a skillet with vegetable oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sear the cubed steak with more blackened seasoning for about 4-5 minutes until browned but juicy. Remove.
  5. Melt butter in the skillet; sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  6. Whisk in heavy cream; bring to a simmer and stir in parmesan until melted and smooth.
  7. Combine cooked pasta, shrimp, and steak into the sauce; toss gently until heated through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
