Baked Sweet Potatoes are a delightful and healthy dish that can enhance any meal. Naturally sweet and creamy, these versatile tubers serve as an excellent side dish or quick lunch option. Their ability to adapt to various toppings makes them a standout choice for all occasions. Enjoy the comforting flavors of baked sweet potatoes any time of the year!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Pure maple syrup or brown sugar
  • Honey butter
  • Salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Scrub each sweet potato thoroughly under running water, then pat dry. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and poke several holes in the tops using a fork to allow steam to escape.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until tender: 30-40 minutes for small, 40-50 minutes for medium, and 50-60 minutes for large sweet potatoes.
  4. Once baked, cut each potato in half and serve plain or topped with butter, salt and pepper, maple syrup, or your favorite salsa.
