  • 1 package (3 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

  • ½ cup maraschino cherries, halved (plus extra for garnish)


Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Cream Base

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and sour cream.

  2. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.

Step 2: Add the Fruits and Extras

  1. Stir in the crushed pineapple (with juice), drained fruit cocktail, shredded coconut, and miniature marshmallows.

  2. Add the chopped pecans or walnuts if using.

  3. Gently fold in the halved maraschino cherries.

Step 3: Chill the Salad

  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours.

  2. Chilling allows the flavors to meld together and the salad to thicken.

Step 4: Serve
